Hi, I’m Stephen Monteith. I am a 3d artist based in Brisbane Australia. I have worked professionally in video game development for more than 12 years, but have also been involved in TV and film productions, and numerous other computer graphics projects for virtually my entire career.
My primary experience is in creating 3d assets and environments using the following programs:
- Unreal Editor
- 3ds Max
- Substance Painter
- Unity Editor
- Roblox Studio
My working style is clean, precise and measured, I prefer to get things done right the first time, rather than do a poor job and fix it later. I like to invest time in setting up techniques and procedures that will speed up production in the long run. I love a good modular system!
While most of my experience has been working with real-time assets for game development, I have also worked on pre-rendered assets and scenes for a variety of purposes.
In addition to creating things in 3d, I have also worked at teaching 3d at university, graphic design, web design and scooping ice cream. A full CV can be provided on request.
At home I love spending heaps of time with my wife and two kids, going travelling, camping and bushwalking. I love cooking and eating, particularly Asian food, playing computer and board games, and making/fixing things with my hands.
