While working on the Roblox experience Splash: Skate and Music, I was involved in the creation of numerous environments that players explored and interacted with while playing the game. As the primary environment artist at splash, I was entirely responsible for almost all of the environments, including concept, design, whitebox, buildout, lighting, skybox and effects.

In some of the environments I worked collaboratively with other artists and often managed them through task management software while providing feedback and direction to the project. The environments were built in Roblox Studio, mostly using the native Roblox “Parts”, but also using the occasional mesh for complex detail. All the environments also contained gameplay elements to enable the various gameplay modes that were in Splash: Skate and Music.

Each environment varied widely in theme, from tech noir cities, to tropical islands and burning hellscapes. I greatly enjoyed working on all these different visual themes as I got to stretch my creative muscles while also problem solving technical challenges.

Below is a selection of environments that I completed as the primary artist.
