The Necronomicon
Some years ago, several of my friends and I began work on what we call the Necronomicon. This is a mythical book often referred to by the Author H.P. Lovecraft in his many stories of ancient horror. According to the stories, the Necronomicon was a tome written many centuries ago by a mad Arab, in which he details the unbelievably old and powerful gods and creatures which lurk just outside human consciousness and understanding.
As simply as a fun project, we took it upon ourselves to re-create this book as we saw it, each page being researched from stories and literature, before being hand written and drawn on sheets of stained paper. At present we have over 100 pages completed and many still being worked on. Below is a small selection of some of my more significant illustrations from the Necronomicon, all are original and hand draw using fine ink pens.
