The Film Factory

In August of 1999 I was employed as lead computer animator to work on a feature film at a small film production house called the Film Factory, headed by Gary Young. In this sci-fi film, titled "In The Year 2323", there was to be about 20-30 minutes of completely computer generated footage that was to be mixed between real footage from a 1970's film. The CG would have required extensive character animation of aliens and also several space ships and
alien architectural design. All work was to be done using Lightwave 3d 5.6.

Unfortunately, after working for only four weeks news came that the company was in severe financial difficulties and that work on the film could not continue. This in turn meant that the entire company folded and that the team, including me, were out of a job.
